How to assign entity to the user?

IN THIS TUTORIAL WE WILL CREATE USER ROLE, USER AND ASSIGN ENTITY TO THE USER

Steps to do

Add user role

First, add a new user role and select the entities this user can have access to.

Add User Selection Field to the Entity

Add a new field with User Selection type to the entity and, if required, limit it to the pre-selected user role available for the selection.

Configure permissions to edit or view fields

Make sure to select fields available for view or edit for the given user role.

Add User

Invite the user to the system.

Sign in as a user

After successful login, the user will see allowed and assigned records and will be able to edit allowed fields.

This approach is applicable to any kind of users, like technicians, vendors, customers, partners, dealers, and so on.
