Threads and Comments

PUBLIC COMMENTS AND PRIVATE THREADS. WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?

Each entity in the system has built-in comments functionality. Any user added or assigned to the entity can see comments and add new ones.

To create an alternative way of communicating with users, there is threads functionality where users with appropriate permission can create a thread and manually pick assigned users to the entity who will have access to that thread. Use this, for example, if you want to discuss something internally that should not be shared with other assigned users to the entity, such as a customer or client.

Comments and Threads Features

Files

Each comment can have attachments.

Notifications

The user adding the comment can notify other users about this comment or keep the comment silent.

External Users Notifications

External users, even if not added to the app or entity, can receive email notifications with the comment text. Just specify recipients’ emails after the # sign, for example: #al@gola.work, ben@gola.work.

Threads

Use threads to organize discussions within selected users without exposing the conversation to all users assigned to the entity.
